On Wednesday evening, June 6th, at 7:00pm in the Chapel, we have planned an evening for our jr. high and high school age youth, and young adults. We’ve invited guest So Cal artist Henry Martyn Band out for an evening of music, followed by the Gospel message!

Henry Martyn is a latin rock group establishing a positive foundation with a mix of raw, street, latin music–with sweet melodies, smooth vocals, edgy guitar riffs, and solid percussions. The band members believe that “Throughout the years, God has collectively used our life experiences to mold us into men of God–who are in love and passionate about praise and worship. We have come to realize that it is not so much the experience that has changed us, but rather it has been the pursuit of God’s truth—the piercing of hearts, through his word. Ultimately, as we have read and mentally digested the word of God, we are compelled to share what He has done through our music.” If you are ambitious and excited about life, than you will enjoy the Henry Martyn Band! You will understand quickly that the true foundation for HM is shared in this common belief… “Only one Life, will soon be past, but only what’s done for Christ will last!”

Following Henry Martyn’s performance will be a special message about the hope that we have in Christ and the unconditional love that He has for us! We encourage you to pick up some extra flyers to invite your friends!

CCCV Summer Picnic

It’s Summertime! Join your CCCV family at the Summer Picnic on Saturday, June 30th at Ontario Christian High School from 10:30am-3:00pm. Bring your family and friends! The day will be filled with games, fun, food, fellowship and we’ve added a Car/Motorcycle show! Bring your chairs, blankets, pop-up tents, etc. We will have food, popcorn, cotton candy, etc. for sale. We also have sign ups for a Cook-Off and Car/Motorcycle show! For the kids, we have jumpers (Wet and Dry) for all ages! This is a great time to spend fellowship with your church family!

We will have:
Games – Organized games for all ages!
Jumpers – We have water jumpers for kids of all ages! (Don’t forget the kid’s swimsuits and towels!)
Watermelon Eating Contest
Pie Eating Contest
Cook-off Contest

CAR & MOTORCYCLE SHOW
Car Show- Show off your beauties and bring in show cars that arepre-1970s!
Motorcycle Show- We will display motorcycles of all ages!
We have limited spots available for those that would like to participate and bring their cars and/or motorcycles for display! Stop by the Gazebo to sign up!

COOK OFF CONTEST
Show off your cooking skills and bring in your delicious dish! We have signs-ups for Salsa, Chicken Wings, Chili, and Apple Pies! Stop by the Gazebo to sign up to participate.

Extreme Faith 2-Day Event

All Jr. High youth are invited to attend our Extreme Faith 2-Day Event on June 22nd & June 23rd! Joining us Friday night will be a guest speaker, plus guest band 3N1. We’ll end the night with games, including a 32′ inflatable obstacle course. On Saturday we’ll have a video game truck, team building games and activities, worship and guest speaker Dan Leitz. The cost for this event is $45 per person. The cost covers all activities and meals, including a pizza dinner Friday night, continental breakfast, Chick-Fil-A lunch and taco dinner on Saturday! You won’t want to miss this Extreme event! You can sign up beginning Sunday, May 13th through Wednesday, June 2nd by visiting the Gazebo or clicking the eCenter link below. This event is open to all current and incoming Jr. High youth.

Mission Trip to the Philippines

We will be sending a team to minister alongside our missionaries, the Dizons, in Antipolo from October 15th-26th. In addition to hosting a Women’s Conference and Men’s Breakfast, we will also have a Medical/Dental outreach, Prison outreach, and more. If you have a serious interest in being a part of this team, please sign-up at the Missions window in the Gazebo. Approximate cost will be $1,750.

Mission’s Prayer and Update meeting

The Mission’s Ministry will meet on Sunday, June 3rd in room 305 (Upstairs in the Jr. High Room above the bookstore) at 1:15pm. We will have a Special Guest Speaker, Steven Sutton, who will share from his experiences as a missionary in Cambodia. In addition we will receive updates regarding future Missions events as well as take time to pray for our Missionaries. Everyone is encouraged to attend and be blessed.

Pre-marital Classes

Engaged couples who are planning to be married in our fellowship, or by one of our ministers, are required to complete these 6 classes. These classes are a valuable tool to help you prepare for marriage. Applications (one for each of you) including additional information, are available at the Gazebo after any service and are due back by Sunday, June 3rd. Additional information is available here.
