Children's Ministry

Purpose

Vision

The purpose of the Children’s Ministry of CCCV is to build the foundations of children’s Christianity by providing good examples, teaching, and events in a safe environment. Colossians 2:6,7: “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with Thanksgiving.”

We, the servants of the Children’s Ministry, have a vision to build the foundations of children’s Christianity. We desire to give them a lasting thirst for God and His Word at a young age. We desire to provide them with positive role models after whom they can model their own lives. We have a desire to give them enduring good memories through the teachings we give, the worship and prayers we offer, the outreaches we have, and the activities we provide.

We have a vision to build up leaders to love, model Christ-like behavior, and teach the children of this church. Ultimately, it is our hope that our leaders imitate Christ (1 Cor. 11:1), and then children then imitate the leaders.

We have a vision to build curriculum that teaches children God’s Word verse-by-verse, in a clear and understandable way. We also desire to complement all studies with craft, questions, and puzzles depending on age of child.

We have a vision to build relationships among our children and also their leaders through events, such as VBS, Lock-ins, and other activities that are: Themed- to establish the portion of Bible that we are teaching on. Fun- to build good memories. Accountability- that the children would build lasting friendships. We have a vision to build the children’s relationship with the Lord by: Serving in age appropriate ministries such as T.E.A.M., C.M. Worship, Sound, Video & Character Graphics.

Summer Camp

ATTENTION PARENTS OF 3RD, 4TH & 5TH GRADE STUDENTS:
We are pleased to offer a Kid’s Junior Camp this year! We are partnering with another Calvary Chapel this year so that our kids can go to camp and enjoy this amazing time to see God work in their lives. Camp is a time to build relationships, enjoy God’s beautiful creation, learn of Him and His wonder, but most importantly, to point the kids to Jesus.
It is for kids who will be going into 4th, 5th & 6th grade in September 2015. The dates for camp are June 22nd through June 26th. We want you to know early so you can set aside funds for your child(ren) to attend! We will be accepting a $125 non-refundable deposit by March 22nd with the balance due my May 22nd. More information is available in the Children’s Ministry Office.

Special Needs

The Special Needs Ministry exists to love, serve and encourage families in our fellowship who have been touched by a disability. All of our children here at CCCV are special and need to feel loved in a safe environment. During service we provide an appropriate and supportive environment with Bible study and worship.

Our Special Needs ministry is located in Room 206. We ask all new participants in the program to complete a questionnaire. This information is kept confidential. Parents are also welcome to participate in the classrooms with their children.

April 12th, 19th, 26th, & May 3rd after 3rd Service in Room 405

This class is designed for children in 2nd through 6th grade who have recently given their heart to the Lord. We will teach the fundamental truths about Christianity and their newfound faith. Your child will learn what it means to be a “Christian” and build a foundation for his/her faith. The class is 4 weeks long and we ask that you please make sure you are committed to the entire session. This is an investment that has eternal rewards!
