Homeschool
The Academy is only offered to those families within our fellowship that desire to home educate their children.
Purpose & Philosophy
The Lord charges parents with the ultimate responsibility of instructing their children in all areas of growth and development (Deut. 6:6-9, Prov. 22:6, Eph. 6:4). For those families who have chosen to obey this admonition in the form of home education, Chino Valley Christian Academy has been established. Our goal is to provide a structured support system to aid parents in obtaining the highest quality education for their children in terms of spiritual and academic excellence. Through home education, parents can have greater control over the character development and spiritual training of their children.
Our Independent Study Program allows for one-to-one teaching with individualized curriculum tailored to each student so that he or she can learn comfortably at his or her own rate. Parents are responsible to purchase curriculum that best suites their student’s educational needs.
Three areas of home education that are continually stressed in our program are family support, parental education, and family accountability.
Family Support
Fellowship among member families is necessary to uphold and encourage one another, as independent studies can put strains on families, financially, emotionally, and socially. “Two are better than one…for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion.” (Ecc. 4:9-12)
Parental Education
Committed teachers always need to look for opportunities to improve their teaching skills. To ensure the strength, unity, and effectiveness of our program, we hold periodic Parent/Teacher Meetings. “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man is he who listens to counsel.” (Prov. 12:15)
Accountability
Member families are expected to meet all school requirements and make consistent progress toward attaining set educational goals.
Requirements
Calvary Chapel Chino Valley
You must be attending Calvary Chapel Chino Valley consistently for at least six months and consider it your home church. A completed ministry application must also be on file or one must be filled out upon turning in a registration application.
Tuition & Records
Member families are required to pay tuition as scheduled unless other arrangements have been made. Report cards and attendance records are due quarterly and must be received by the due date. Failure to comply gives us reason to terminate our agreement.
Parent/Teacher Meetings
Parent/Teacher Meetings for member families are held periodically throughout the year. At least one parent, preferably the teaching parent should attend. The purposes of these meetings are to encourage one another and share educational information.
Home School Legal Defense Fund
Member families are required to join the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) by September. HSLDA provides legal counsel and representation for families who educate their children at home.

Activities
Chino Valley Christian Academy is strongly committed to providing activities in which our families may participate throughout the school year.
Our activities are provided to fill a number of needs: (1) fellowship for parents and children; (2) educational enrichment; and (3) opportunities to fine-tune student’s social skills and Christian character in a fun and non-threatening atmosphere.
Some of these activities are:
-Friday School
-Athletic Program
-Teen Activities
-School Picnic
-Holiday Celebrations
-Field Trips
-Assemblies/Guest Speakers
-Promotion Night/Graduation Ceremony
All of these activities are accomplished by parent involvement.
Statement of Faith
We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ’s (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess, and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
We believe worship of God should be fruitful. Therefore, we look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have been truly worshiping Him.
We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, that the Bible, Old and New Testaments, in the original autographs, is the inspired, infallible Word of God, a complete and final written revelation of God.
We believe in one personal, transcendent, and holy God, the creator of all, Who is eternal, and Who manifests Himself in three separate persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ, though fully God, became a man for the suffering of death, that He is the promised Messiah, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His vicarious death on the Cross, was bodily resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit, ascended back to the right hand of God the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us.
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit Who indwells, seals, and empowers every believer, baptizing them into the Body of Christ.
We believe that all people are, by nature, separated from God and are responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of Jesus Christ. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior and Lord, then that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all of his/her sins are forgiven and covered by the blood of Christ.
We believe Jesus Christ is the head of the Body and that the church belongs completely to Him.
Leadership
Chino Valley Christian Academy is owned and operated by Calvary Chapel Chino Valley and is subject to the authority and supervision of the church Board of Elders, whose goal is to build strong Christian families through the teaching of the Word of God.
