Events

Couples’ Ministry has several events each year to strengthen Couples’ relationships.

May Event – Couples’ Evening Beach Fellowship: Couples, we will be going to Huntington State Beach (Tower 10) for an evening of fellowship on Saturday, May 19th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. We will be serving hot dogs, chips, fruit, and s’mores and enjoying worship and a devotion. Cost is $18 per couple. There is no childcare for this event. Open to all dating, engaged and married couples. You can sign up at the Gazebo or right here online by clicking the eCenter icon below, April 15th through May 16th.

Friday, July 27th – Couples’ Movie Night in the Courtyard (ticket sales begin on June 24th)

August 10th-12th – Couples’ Retreat at the Renaissance Esmeralda in Indian Wells (sign-ups begin on May 20th at the gazebo and online)

Friday, September 7th – Couples’ Study begins (sign-ups are from July 22 through August 26)

Saturday, October 13th - Couples’ Fellowship Night 

Date Night: Periodically, throughout the year, Couples’ Ministry gathers together for date nights. We just had our Couples’ Valentine’s Dinner at The Veranda at Green River Golf Club in Corona. We enjoyed an evening out with other couples as we shared a meal together, along with worship and a teaching by Mike MacIntosh.

In the past, we have gone to plays, movies, Angels baseball games, bowling, game nights, and we have a yearly Valentine’s Banquet. And the Couples have been to Hawaii for a get-away.

Couples’ Retreat: Once a year in the summer, we get away for a weekend at a resort with our spouses. We enjoy teachings from our own Pastor David & various guest pastors. Couples attend workshops on topics such as communication, devotions, intimacy, finances, raising children and grandparenting. This year’s retreat is scheduled for August 10th-12th, 2012. More details to come. 

Couples’ Conferences: Every other year, we host a conference here at our fellowship for couples. In 2010, we had “Love and Respect” Conference with Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. This was a two-day conference focusing on communication between a husband and his wife.
