Women’s Ministry

“Charis,” the Greek word for Grace, is the name for the Women’s Ministry here at Calvary Chapel Chino Valley. Charis exists to encourage graciousness in our women by looking to the greatest model we have, which is our Lord Jesus Christ. He is Grace, and we aim to seek Him, so that graciousness will overflow from our hearts to those around us.

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”

2 Peter 3:18

Women’s Dinner Ministry

Women’s Dinner Ministry provides meals for families of ladies who have given birth, undergone surgery, or are experiencing an illness.

You may get involved in this ministry by volunteering to prepare and deliver a meal to a family in need based on the aforementioned circumstances. You may volunteer once or twice a month, adjusting your service to your personal schedule of availability. With the meal which you will prepare, you may provide paper goods as well as words of encouragement. This is a great way to get involved in a ministry for fellowship and to “serve one another.”

Please contact us if you find yourself in need of help from this ministry, or if you would like to get more information about becoming a part of serving in the Dinner Ministry. We will be more than happy to speak with you.

Women’s Intercessory Prayer

Women’s Intercessory Prayer meets each Monday from 9:00am to 11:00am in Room 524.

The Women’s Intercessory Prayer Team consists of women from all walks of life who have hearts to intercede for Calvary Chapel Chino Valley, the body of Christ as a whole, our community, nation, and the world.

Would you like to develop a consistent personal prayer life? Would you like to pray for others? “…In His presence is fullness of joy” – Psalm 16:11

Do you need personal prayer? We have ladies available to hear you, pray for you and encourage you. “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

Whether you come to pray for others or to receive prayer, we welcome you!

Refuge of Hope is a confidential post-abortive Bible study and support group. It is a 10-week course and the curriculum is based on the book, Forgiven and Set Free. The study will assist you in receiving true healing from your struggle of unforgiveness, guilt, shame, and sadness. You are not alone in the secret that you may be harboring due to fear of being judged. Not only will God forgive you, but will give you a new joy!

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed,” John 8:36.

“He will bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair,“ Isaiah 61:3.

“Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; and in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge,” Psalm 57:1

Single Moms gather several times a year for prayer, fellowship, fun, and support. We host a variety of gatherings, such as special dinners, holiday events, family portraits, craft night, and DIY home repair sessions. All meetings and functions are held at 7:00pm on the 2nd Friday of a designated month on our CCCV campus, and childcare is always provided. Below is the Meeting & Event Schedule by month and topic. All meetings are announced on this link or in our church bulletins at least 3 weeks in advance, and will give you extended information about the event, as well as how to sign up.

Single Moms DIY Night- August 10,2018
Join us on Friday, August 10th for “DIY Night.” We will have experts demonstrating do-it-yourself home repair tips. We will meet at 7:00pm in room 206. Childcare will be provided in room 407. Childcare check-in time is 6:45pm. You do not need to sign up. This is a free event.

The Special Events ministry serves the ladies of our fellowship and our guests during women’s events. The following is a list of available areas of service during any given event:

Create centerpieces
Decorate venue
Set-up & tear-down
Prepare food and beverages
Serve tables/buffet lines
Host and greet guests

In this ministry, we strive to show kindness and the love of Jesus Christ to all who enter our doors. This ministry is organized on a volunteer-basis. When an event is approaching, ladies in the Special Events ministry are contacted via phone call or email, and given all of the event details. From there, servants can respond, indicating whether or not they are available to serve. If available, they will be added to the team for that event.

“…to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.” 2 Peter 1:7

The men in our lives are exposed daily to sexual temptations. Has your husband fallen into the world of pornography and secret sin? Are you overwhelmed, angry or fearful because of it? There is hope and our hope is in Jesus Christ! Join other women experiencing the same trials and be encouraged in the midst of the storm.

Under His Wings is a ministry of CCCV Charis Women’s Ministry designed to support and encourage women whose lives have been, or are being, affected by men in their lives who are engaged in sexual pornography and secret sin. Throughout the year, we offer a bible study class to encourage and equip women.
