Tech Arts

In the Tech Arts ministry, we aim to achieve professional-level production quality in order to highlight the excellency of our worship and teachings. This goal ensures a worshipful environment that is free of distractions and provides visual and aural aid for the content of each service and event. Volunteers who are capable of learning quickly, adapting to immediate changes, receiving instruction, and have a dedication to technical proficiency are encouraged to apply to any of the following positions:

Audio
In this position, you will operate the soundboard that provides audio for the worship and teaching aspects of each service. A common service includes the tasks of mixing worship, handling transitions, and keeping the teaching volume at an suitable level. Knowledge of EQ, compression, and basic mixing is preferred, but some training will be provided.

Lighting
In this position, you will operate the lighting console that provides appropriate visibility for the worship and teaching aspects of each service. Knowledge of lighting design, visual awareness, and having the ability to accomplish transitions is preferred, but some training will be provided.

CG
In this position, you will operate the computer that controls screen displays during service. Common tasks include presenting lyrics and teaching notes, handling transitions, and working with the rest of the team to ensure quality timing. Knowledge of ProPresenter and Mac computer conventions is preferred, but some training will be provided.

Camera Operator
In this position, you will operate the remote camera controller that provides the angles for each camera we utilize during service. A common service includes the tasks of lining up shots for multiple cameras, paying particular attention to visual design, focus, and depth, and maintaining communication with the Camera Operator. Some training will be provided.

Switcher
In this position, you will operate the multi-format live switcher that controls the visual display of each service. A typical service includes the tasks of switching between camera shots, accomplishing transitions, and maintaining communication with the Camera Operator. Some training will be provided.
