What is

Charis?

“Charis,” the name of CCCV’s Women’s Ministry, is a Greek word that means ‘grace.’ In 2 Peter 3:18, the ministry’s foundational scripture, Peter urges Christians to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Charis Women’s Ministry is comprised of ten individual ministries purposely designed to equip and encourage women to grow in His grace and knowledge. This happens through small group Bible studies, special events, and the various specialized ministries listed below. There are opportunities to serve and receive ministry.

Prayer

Do you need personal prayer? Are you looking to meet and pray with other godly women? Women’s Intercessory Prayer is a weekly meeting of women from all walks of life who have hearts to intercede for, hear, and encourage one another. These ladies also pray for Calvary Chapel Chino Valley, the general body of Christ, our community, nation, and the world. Gather every Monday from 9 – 11am in Room 524 to receive prayer, pray for others, and develop a consistent personal prayer life.

Pathway is a Bible study and healing support group designed for women who have been sexually abused or broken and/or have hurt themselves or others through sexual sin.

In this group, you will gain new insight into the broader range of sexual abuse and brokenness, and how it affects your relational life. Through digging deep into God’s Word, group interaction, and hard work, you will realize God’s plan, and His design to help you break free from the bondage. This class provides a safe – haven for you to share your deepest hurts, as you learn to allow God to love you and mend your heart.

The class meets on Tuesdays, October 8th through December 10th on the CCCV campus in room 206. The cost of Materials is $15.

Refuge is a post-abortion Bible Study and healing support group. The class consists of a Bible study curriculum based on the book, Forgiven and Set Free, by Linda Cochrane. There will also be guidance by a group facilitator, and group interaction.

The Single Moms Ministry provides fellowship opportunities for single moms of children under the age of 18. It gathers several times a year for prayer, fellowship, fun, and support. We host a variety of gatherings, such as special dinners, holiday events, family portraits, craft night, and DIY home repair sessions. All meetings and functions are held at 7pm on the second Friday of a designated month on our CCCV campus, and childcare is always provided.

This class also benefits women who still struggle with pain and anger after the restored purity of their husbands. Under His Wings is offered each year from June to August.
