Men, we are excited to announce that instead of going away for a retreat this year, we will be hosting a Men’s Gathering on our church campus. We pray this allows more men to be able to attend this year and be blessed by the teachings and fellowship.
Our theme of Fierce Obedience is taken from 1 Chronicles 11:17-19, “ David longed for water and said, ‘Oh, that someone would get me a drink of water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem!’ 18 So the Three broke through the Philistine lines, drew water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem and carried it back to David. But he refused to drink it; instead, he poured it out to the LORD. ‘God forbid that I should do this!’ he said. ‘Should I drink the blood of these men who went at the risk of their lives?’ Because they risked their lives to bring it back, David would not drink it. Such were the exploits of the three mighty warriors.”

Rocky Seto is a former American football coach. He played for the USC Trojans in 1997 and 1998 and joined USC’s coaching staff from 1999 through 2009. From 2010 through 2016, Rocky joined the coaching staff of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks where he participated in two Super Bowls. Despite opportunities for promotion in his football career, the calling to leave the sport and become a full-time minister grew stronger after each season. In 2017, after serving as a football coach for 18 years, Rocky announced that he was leaving the coaching industry to become a full-time pastor. Rocky now serves as a pastor in La Puente, California and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
Wes Bentley is a former Marine and served as a missionary in Russia. In 1996, Wes made his first trip to South Sudan to deliver basic provisions and a message of hope to a predominantly Christian population suffering at the hands of Islamic jihadists. Seeing the need of these suffering believers, Wes founded Far Reaching Ministries (FRM) in 1998 and set up a Bible school for the South Sudan army chaplains. Since its inception, ten classes have graduated with over 400 chaplains deployed throughout the country and beyond. Currently, FRM is ministering in seven of the ten most dangerous Muslim countries in the world. In South Sudan, 35 staff members have been killed, including 22 men in the last two years alone.
Tony Clark was born in the steel town of Gary, Indiana, and dutifully attended weekly church services, yet had no understanding of what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. He went to church on Sundays but lived life his own way Monday through Saturday. Shortly after joining the Marine Corps, Tony received orders to be stationed thousands of miles away in Okinawa, Japan. Even though he did not realize it, God’s plan for him would unfold in this foreign land. Going to Okinawa proved to be a God-ordained adventure because it was there that Tony recognized his need for a Savior and committed his life to the Lord. It was also in Okinawa that the Lord revealed to Tony that he would one day become a pastor. Since 1994, Tony has pastored Calvary Chapel Newport News in Newport News, Virginia.
David Rosales accepted Christ on December 27, 1970 at the age of 20, and God transformed his life. Saved out of a life of drug and alcohol abuse, he was dramatically transformed and began a life of pursuing the Lord. After his discharge from the army, he began pursuing an education in theology which eventually led him to begin a home Bible study. This Bible study grew to what is now Calvary Chapel Chino Valley. Pastor David’s ministry extends beyond the Chino Valley through his radio program A Sure Foundation, and through various teaching opportunities around the world. He has traveled to countries such as Austria, China, Colombia, El Salvador, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Peru, and the Philippines, evangelizing and teaching the Bible in a verse-by-verse style. Pastor David has been married to Marie for 42 years and has four children and nine grandchildren.
