“Passage” Book Club has moved to Facebook!
The new read for May/June is a throwback to the first book we read as a club 9 years ago, “Choosing Gratitude” by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. This is a perfect book to revisit due to the circumstances in which we all now find ourselves. In the new online club, we will post excerpts from the book during the reading period and you can comment and and engage in the same rich discussions and conversations that we’ve always enjoyed.
Due to delayed shipping times for the book, we will not begin posting excerpts until May 7th, allowing you time to order the book and get reading.
Pick up your copy of Choosing Gratitude wherever you buy books. Unfortunately, the Chapel Store online bookstore has sold out of the book.
If you already have the book, please begin commenting on the page at any time. We’re sure there will be someone in the community that has the book and will engage in your conversation.

Choosing Gratitude Summary: Gratitude is a choice. If we fail to choose it, by default we choose ingratitude. And once allowed into the heart, ingratitude does not come by itself, but with other seedy companions that only succeed in stealing joy. By intentionally thanking God and others, bitterness and entitlement are replaced with joy and the humble realization of just how undeserving we really are. To not choose gratitude is more costly than we usually realize. When we do choose a lifestyle of heartfelt, humble gratitude, we are mindful of the benefits received from our gracious Savior and those He has placed around us, and our joy becomes full.
