The AWANA program at CCCV takes place every Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00pm in the 500 bldg. Kids in kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to join us for Bible study and special activities. AWANA strives to reach kids through fun, Scripture-rich experiences to equip them to change the world.
If God is leading you towards serving in Kids Ministry, we highly encourage you to consider serving in our AWANA program. To get started, fill out and submit a Ministry Application online or at the Kids Ministry office.
Servants are needed in various areas to help the AWANA program run smoothly. Teachers and helpers are needed in the classrooms, at game time, and to help with award preparation.
Each person contributes to the impact the AWANA program has on the kids.
As a classroom teacher, you interact with AWANA kids on a more personal level. While building relationships with the kids, you help them learn and understand their handbook sections and Bible lessons. You also award kids for memorized Scripture they recite each week.
We have seven classrooms, each one dedicated to a specific group of kids.
- 1st grade
- 2nd grade
- 3rd & 4th Grade Girls
- 3rd & 4th Grade Boys
- 5th & 6th Grade Girls
- 5th & 6th Grade Boys
As a game time director, you plan and lead age-appropriate games during the specified game time. Kids are rotated through game time based on their grade. Games used in the past include soccer, playing with hula-hoops, blowing bubbles, and various obstacle courses. The options are endless!
As a game time helper, you assist the game time director in leading age-appropriate games.
As an award preparation helper, you assist the club directors in preparing the awards for distribution at the end of each AWANA night.
