Bullying is at an all-time high, affecting approximately 1 out of every 4 students from ages 12-18, which can lead to feelings of isolation, rejection, exclusion, as well as depression, anxiety, fear, and worse.
To battle this epidemic, CCCV’s self-defense ministry, Kung Fu San Soo, is taking on-going sign-ups for co-ed kids and adult classes. San Soo, in its pure form is an effective method of self-defense that is easy to learn. Students will learn to stand their ground while being instructed to have self-control but to also use self defense, if necessary.
Students gain confidence, self-respect, focused concentration, respect toward others, and learn anti-bullying techniques.
Classes are open to the church and community and meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6pm for kids and 7pm for adults.
Class prices are $40 for kids and $50 for adults, per month. We are offering a promotional discount for first time students: for the first three months of classes, we will offer a 20% discount for new students who sign up in November.
