Stepping Up is a ministry dedicated to equipping, encouraging, and mentoring fatherless boys who will, one day, be the men of our communities and nation. This ministry is also for boys whose father is emotionally distant and/or uninvolved.
Boys who would like to participate in this ministry are recommended to be attendees of Calvary Chapel Chino Valley and should be between the ages of 10 to 16 years old. Boys who meet these guidelines are invited to attend classes every other week, held on our church campus under the supervision of a group of men from our fellowship who will provide a short devotional study and present various topics such as, but not limited to:
– Living Drug-Free
– Responsibilities of a Godly Man
– Spiritual Disciplines
– Servant Leadership
Beginning December 3rd, classes will be held every other Thursday from 6:00pm to 7:30pm in Room 511.
An adult must be present to sign in the boy when dropping him off. Regular participation is encouraged in order to get as much out of the ministry as possible.
*Men who serve in this ministry are required to complete a ministry application which includes a background check through California Meghan’s Law.
“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity,” 1 Timothy 4:12.
