Anchored Ministry

In observing the positive impact that the Iron Sharpens Iron classes are making in the lives of the men in attendance, we are led to offer a similar ministry to women called Anchored. Many women in our fellowship have let it be known that their lives have been significantly affected either by their own incarceration or by the incarceration of a husband, child, or close loved ones. This often results in experiencing guilt, shame, hopelessness, loss, abandonment, and/or depression.

The purpose of Anchored would be to address these concerns in a class format, with key components consisting of reading of the Word, discussion, prayer, accountability, and the support of mature believers and each other.

We are offering this class for women who have previously been incarcerated or have a husband/child/relative who has or is currently incarcerated. Anchored will meet every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month in room 522 from 7:00-9:00pm and childcare is provided. We want to come alongside these women with the purpose of restoration and anchoring their lives in Christ.
