VBS 2024: Keepers of the Faith: A Knight’s Quest for Holiness
Kids from all over are hereby summoned to join us for an extraordinary adventure at Calvary Chapel Chino Valley for VBS 2024, where valiant youngsters will undergo the ultimate training to become gallant knights who pursue holiness. Kids will embrace Biblical chivalry and undergo an unforgettable morning of live-action worship and Bible studies. They will take on quests that include outdoor activities, crafts, and snacks that they will remember all summer and beyond!

During the past two summers, we devoted our time to studying the scriptures, marveling at His works, and uncovering our true identity as those wanted by God. As we embark on our next VBS adventure this summer we will explore the age-old question, “What am I called to do?”
As heirs to God’s kingdom, we are called to bring glory and honor to Him through the way we live, the way we speak, and the way we love.
Throughout our captivating 5-day VBS program, we will dive into the wisdom of 1 Timothy 4:12. Here, we will discern how our words should be “seasoned with salt”, our conduct and character an outward display of our relationship with Christ, our love like that of Jesus, our humility and selflessness shining through, and our consecration to a higher purpose.
This summer, our hope and prayer for the children are that they will further develop their relationship with the Lord, discovering that no matter their age, they have the potential to serve as a shining example to others in their journey of following Christ.

What to Wear: Town Villagers - Step back in time and become lively town villagers, embracing the simplicity and charm of a bygone era as we conclude our VBS festivities with joy and togetherness.

As a reminder, costumes should be modest and costume masks and props are not permitted. Please leave toy weapons at home.
Be sure your kiddo wears sunblock and closed toe shoes. Kids will be outdoors and in the sun during certain activities.

Registration Details
This is a free event, but registration is required. VBS is open to kids in Kinder – 6th grade in the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Kids can be registered online until Saturday, July 13th. In-person registration will be available Sunday, July 14th and the week of VBS. Prior online registration is recommended to make check-in a more streamlined process for parents the morning of.
Themed Apparel
VBS t-shirts are available in both kids and adult sizes! T-shirt purchases help support this free event. Pre-order your shirt before June 30th to ensure you receive your preferred size. A limited supply of shirts will be available to order online after Sunday, June 30th. Additionally, shirts can be purchased in-person on Sunday, July 14th and the week of VBS while supplies last. T-shirts ordered online will be available for pick up on Sunday, July 14th. Both kids and adult sizes are $15, and $17 for adult 2XL and larger.

Check In
Each day of VBS check in starts at the Gazebo at 8:15am. After receiving your kiddos KidCheck label and your guardian receipt, you’ll head to the Sanctuary to drop off your kiddo with their group guide for the day. You’re welcome to take a seat at the back of the Sanctuary to join us for worship and enjoy the skit. At the conclusion of the daily skit, we ask you leave campus for the safety of all the kids in attendance. Only approved VBS servants and church staff are permitted to be on campus at the conclusion of the skit.
Pick Up
Make sure to arrive back on campus at 12pm for pick up in the Sanctuary.
Your guardian receipt received and signed at the beginning of the day must be presented for pick up. We encourage you to take a picture of your signed guardian receipt in case the physical receipt is lost.
If you dropped off your kiddo but another individual will be picking them up, make sure to provide the group guide with the first and last name of the person picking up. The person picking up your kiddo will need to present their driver’s license at time of pick up.
Don’t forget to take home your kiddo’s craft!

Mom's Fellowship
Moms! As your kiddos enjoy this year’s VBS, join like-minded moms for a morning of devotion, encouragement, and crafting! If you are a first-time VBS mom or traveling a great distance to Chino Valley, the Charis Women’s Ministry invites you to join other moms for a sweet time of fellowship after checking in your kids. Moms are seated on a first-come-first-served basis and seating is limited to 44 moms per day. Let us know if we can expect you to attend and we’ll save you a seat!

Serving
From serving as a group guide with the kids, to painting the stage set and everything in between, there are many areas where you can serve at VBS. Adults and youth going into 7th grade are welcome to be a part of our amazing VBS team, permitting they meet the following requirements.
- Consider CCCV their home church and have attended for 6 months or more
- Have a current Ministry Application or Kids Ministry Event Application on file
- Received approval from the Kids Ministry Administration
Make sure to sign up by Wednesday, July 3rd and submit an event application (if applicable) to be approved in time for the VBS All Servants Meeting.
How it Works
- Sign up by clicking the “Servant Registration” button. You will receive a confirmation email that your submission has been received.
- The office will check your current Ministry Application or Kids Ministry Event Application on file and contact you if anything is required of you. Be sure to check your email regularly and that our emails are not missed in your junk folder.
- Your contact information will be provided to the Leader over the area you are assigned. Your Leader will connect with you by Saturday, July 6th confirming where you will be serving.
