Summer Worship & Workshops
Ladies, Charis Women's Ministry is hosting their Summer Worship & Workshops. The title for this year's event is, "Look Up," as referenced in Psalm 5:1-3.
Please join us Saturday, July 20th from 9am - 1pm for an extended time of worship with guest artist, Emily Hamilton, followed by a devotion, morning fellowship, and snack break in the courtyard. After the break you will have an opportunity to attend two workshops.
The devotion and workshops will focus on seeking the Lord first for guidance in all areas of your life, reflecting David's prayer in Psalm 5:1-3. Workshop titles and descriptions are listed below..

Workshop Titles, Descriptions, and Locations
1. Look Up to be a Better Wife
In this workshop we will examine the honorable role of a wife. You
will receive practical tools to guide you in respecting and working as
a team with your husband whether he is saved or not, a mature
believer or not, the leader that God has called him to be or not, or a combination of these.
CHAPEL – Session 1 Only
2. Look Up to be a Better Mom
In this workshop you will learn to be intentional in your parenting as you “Look” to Jesus to parent the child He created and entrusted you to raise. We will “look” to the Lord for a spiritual and practical perspective in parenting. We will also focus on the effects of screen time (technology), and social media. From raising toddlers to teens, or influencing your adult children in the home, come be equipped and encouraged in your parenting journey!
CHAPEL – Session 2 Only
3. Look Up and Live in His Presence
Do you place God’s Word and His Will before your own? Inthis
workshop, you will be reminded and encouraged to seek the Lord
first every single day by setting aside time to pray and pursue His
direction in all areas and circumstances of your life. You will be
taught principles and practices which will help you be disciplined in
reading your Bible and spending time with the Lord.
305 (JR. HIGH ROOM) – Sessions 1 & 2
4. Look Up to Overcome Fear & Anxiety
We live in a world that can easily consume us with fear and anxiety, but we are told to be anxious for nothing. Is that even possible? All things are possible through Christ! In this workshop, we will look at some of the common causes of our anxiety. Come and learn practical methods to help you live free from crippling anxiety and fear.
ROOM 304 (HIGH SCHOOL ROOM) – Sessions 1 & 2
5. Look Up for your Emotional Healing
Is your heart heavy, filled with brokenness and crushed dreams? Are you weary of carrying emotional pain from your past? Do you feel stuck and disillusioned in your life? God is waiting for you to cry out to him with the expectation of being healed. (Psalm 5:3). In this workshop, we will look at the tools God has given you to stand and fight against the attacks of the enemy on your emotions. We will also look at the assurances in His Word that show you His desire to mend your broken heart and give you hope for the future.
BANQUET HALL – Sessions 1 & 2
6. Look Up for Discipline on your Fitness & Nutrition Journey
This workshop will focus on caring for your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. You will look at healthy nutritional options and their benefits for your overall well-being. You will also learn practical ways to incorporate creative physical activities into your daily and weekly routines. You will leave understanding how your fitness and nutrition affect your ability to be more of the woman and servant that you are created you to be. The time is now for you to achieve optimal!
ROOM 524 – Sessions 1 & 2
7. Look Up in Managing your Finances
God has called us to live a life built on an eternal perspective. What we have, we receive from Him, and we are called to be stewards of these resources. In this workshop, we will look at scriptural principles for wise and faithful money management. Some biblical and practical application for spending, debt, giving and saving will be covered.
