The Barillaro Family moved to Mexicali, Mexico on February 1, 1994. They parked their Chevy pickup in a vacant lot in Colonia Rivera Campestre and made it their home. They begin to learn the customs and the language of the people in order to share the Gospel with them. Their Spanish was very weak, but the Lord was not, and the small group slowly grew into a small handful of adults and children. Today, Calvary Chapel Mexicali has an established prison ministry, with many of the ex-prisoners becoming members of the church – praising God for His grace and mercy as He has transformed their lives.
