Iron Sharpens Iron

Last year, we saw an influx of prison inmates being released early. Those who came to know Jesus behind the walls have been finding the adjustment to be more difficult than expected and found themselves in need of spiritual support. God has impressed upon the hearts of the CCCV Men’s Prison Ministry to start “Iron Sharpens Iron” classes.

We desire to continue the ministry and relationships that began inside the prisons and are now outside those walls. The objective is to hold them accountable and minister to them through biblical guidance. The vision behind this new class is rooted in Proverbs 27:17, AMP, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens [and influences] another [through discussion].”

We welcome any men who were previously incarcerated and now attend our fellowship to join us. In this class, we will dive into the Word, worship, fellowship, and pray. We will gather together every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month at 7:00pm in Room 405. No cost to attend, just show up.

With the Spirit’s leading, we hope to come alongside these men to help them better transition back into society, their family, and the workforce as believers.
